The countdown is on!

So as we wind up May we are officially down to 3 weeks until little She-Hamer is due. There are days when I want it to be today, mostly because I have fat Fred Flintstone feet right now, and days when I'm good waiting a bit longer, especially when I think of what we have left to do and how little time there seems be! As soon as we have any news we will try and keep you posted...mostly it's just up to the little kicker inside to decide when she wants to make her debut. The doctor says everything is looking good and baby is doing great!

So just to shout out to a few of the wonderful people who have had their birthdays recently! Happy Birthday!!! In May, Dad Neathamer, Mom Drake, Jennifer, Gabe(3) & Jessica(12). Back in April, Lizzie(18), Tori(14) & Conner(14)! A Happy Early Birthday to Dad Drake! And a couple of Happy Actual BIRTH-Days to Evie (May 6th), Andrew (May 20th) & Oliver (May 28th) who just joined us! If I missed anyone I'm terribly sorry....as you can see it's been a busy month!

A Day with Daisy!

SO, many of you know we love our dog and we worry about her well being and safety during the day. Scott built two gates so we would not have to crate Daisy during the day. Daisy seemed to like this idea as well, she would happily sit on the stairs and wait for her treat and then nap at the top of the stairs all day and play with her toys. Then one day we came home to be greeted at the door by Daisy. So after a few weeks of trying alternative things to block her escapes, Scott decided it was time to figure out exactly how she was getting out. He set up our camera on time lapse and caught her in action. We both suspected that she was jumping the gate, we had no idea she was so smart! Please watch our video we call Daisy...Gate!



Daisy has managed to find a way to place her front paws on the living room wall which she uses to pull her body far enough over the gate so her body weight helps her tumble to the other side. We think she may be part cat, as in super slow-mo we can see that she appears to land cleanly on a fours, without injury. In case you're wondering, Scott leaves at the 2 minute mark, Daisy is out by the 8 minute mark, she settles on the couch after 12 minutes and is asleep by 15.

Now we are left to try and find another way to outsmart our beloved hound! Or just give up and let her roam free.
