Our trip to Chicago was great! We were able to do a ton of stuff. We stopped in and saw The Landry's on our way into downtown. We spent a nice relaxing evening hanging out with everyone. Taylor and Regan can really get around now and definitely have their own personalities. It was so much fun getting to see them in action and Jake as always is adorable. He even convinced Scott to read him many very long Magic School bus books! Amy and Jeremiah were nice enough to share a TON of baby stuff, for our little one on the way. The clothes, toys and carseat will come in very handy! Thanks again!
On Sunday we met up with Amy, Jake, Neena, Aiden and Andrew for day at the Aquarium. It was a great day. The boys only made it more fun, their excitement was contagious. We saw the otters eating, dolphins, sharks, penguins and a Kimodo Dragon. Did you know that 10% of their diet is their own young...ewww! All the exhibits were fun to check out, but I am surprised to say that the Lizard exhibit was surprisingly to my favorite. It was like playing "Where's Waldo" at every tank trying to find the lizard. :) Neena says that when she asked Aiden what his favorites were he said the dolphins and the sharks, while Andrew's favorite was the "running". I have to agree...he can move! See below for some pictures of our day.
After a day at the Aquarium and a nap that afternoon, Scott and I headed out for a nice dinner on the town. We went to a place called Sepia, sepiachicago.com, thank you Jeremiah for the recommendation. The atmosphere and food were perfect and the desserts were even better!
Before we headed home on Monday we walked from our hotel down to Millennium Park. I recommend this to anyone who hasn't seen it, on a nice day it's a perfect place to walk around and people watch. Scott even took a great picture of the city skyline in the reflection of the giant silver bean. It was a great way to spend the morning before the long drive home.
What a great relaxing weekend!
