Chicago!

Hi All,
Our trip to Chicago was great! We were able to do a ton of stuff. We stopped in and saw The Landry's on our way into downtown. We spent a nice relaxing evening hanging out with everyone. Taylor and Regan can really get around now and definitely have their own personalities. It was so much fun getting to see them in action and Jake as always is adorable. He even convinced Scott to read him many very long Magic School bus books! Amy and Jeremiah were nice enough to share a TON of baby stuff, for our little one on the way. The clothes, toys and carseat will come in very handy! Thanks again!

On Sunday we met up with Amy, Jake, Neena, Aiden and Andrew for day at the Aquarium. It was a great day. The boys only made it more fun, their excitement was contagious. We saw the otters eating, dolphins, sharks, penguins and a Kimodo Dragon. Did you know that 10% of their diet is their own young...ewww! All the exhibits were fun to check out, but I am surprised to say that the Lizard exhibit was surprisingly to my favorite. It was like playing "Where's Waldo" at every tank trying to find the lizard. :) Neena says that when she asked Aiden what his favorites were he said the dolphins and the sharks, while Andrew's favorite was the "running". I have to agree...he can move! See below for some pictures of our day.

After a day at the Aquarium and a nap that afternoon, Scott and I headed out for a nice dinner on the town. We went to a place called Sepia, sepiachicago.com, thank you Jeremiah for the recommendation. The atmosphere and food were perfect and the desserts were even better!

Before we headed home on Monday we walked from our hotel down to Millennium Park. I recommend this to anyone who hasn't seen it, on a nice day it's a perfect place to walk around and people watch. Scott even took a great picture of the city skyline in the reflection of the giant silver bean. It was a great way to spend the morning before the long drive home.

What a great relaxing weekend!

April Showers!

Hi All!
The last few weeks have been busy.

We headed to our first tigers game with Scott's parents. Although the evening was fun and the weather was great....the Tigers still lost... :( Our new seats are in the upper deck near the foul pole. While it was many steps up...the view was great and the hot dogs...mmmm what is better than a stadium hot dog...now if we could just get them to go back to steaming them! I did also take note that we are very close to the elevator! This will come in handy for the next few games:). Hopefully the Tigers will figure out what is going on with their game!

I was back in Nashville last week for training and Abby was also headed down there for work, so we went out for a night on the town. We went to the Wild Horse Saloon to watch some line dancing, the NCAA finals and eat some bbq. It was a fun night, Abby won money in 2 of her pools Go Kansas! We also got to watch some very interesting line dancing...with a few older ringers in the group. We now wish we had brought our cameras! The rest of the trip was uneventful and happily my last travels for work until I return from Maternity leave.

If you have a link to Camilla and Ross' site you will see that Camilla and I went for what we called the "Belly Pedicure". It was a day of relaxation and fun. We had Henna paintings done on our quickly growing belly's. The treatment was fun, temporary and safe.

This past weekend Sarah, Kate, Amy, and Patti hosted an wonderful shower for baby She-hamer! It was a great time, we ate wonderful crepes prepared by Chef Steve along with a host of other great munchies and salads. It was wonderful to have so many friends all in one place. It's amazing the amount of love and support we feel about bringing our new little one in to this world and it is only expanded every time we see our family and friends. Thanks everyone for making the day so special! I wish I had some pictures to show you how cute the Ford's house looked...but even though I brought the camera...I forgot to take it out and use it! Maybe Sarah will post some on her blog or send me some to add here!

This weekend we head off for one last pre-baby mini vacation. We are heading to Chicago and hope see friends and a bit of the town. I have been to Chicago sooo many times and never made it inside a museum, you have to love Chicago Shopping! We are definitely heading to the Aquarium, possibly heading to the Field Museum and there will be at least one last quiet nice dinner on the town. I know we can still do these things once we have the baby, but it sounded like a nice way to spend a weekend. We also hope to see both the Szuch's and the Landry's while we are in town and hopefully I will get some pictures.

I hope all is well with everyone out there.... and I hope to see you all soon!
